Self check-in and digital waiver kiosks
Kiosks that let guests check themselves in with a QR code and complete participation waivers before they reach the desk, connected to the venue’s existing booking system.
The problem
On busy sessions the front desk becomes a bottleneck. Every group needs finding in the booking system, checking in and, for many guests, a participation waiver completing before they can climb. Queues build just as the session is due to start.
What we built
We built a self check-in kiosk that works with the venue’s existing booking system rather than replacing it, using automation of the booking platform’s own interface and API. Guests scan the QR code from their confirmation email, confirm their group and are prompted to finish any outstanding waivers.
A separate waiver kiosk runs on its own subdomain so waivers can be completed on tablets in the entrance area, away from the desk.
The results
Check-in and waivers can now happen before guests reach reception, leaving the team free to handle sales, questions and walk-ins.
